Dear St. Michael School Parents,
It is an important few days as we complete Parent Teacher Conferences. It is our honor to be able to partner with you to discuss how your child(ren) is meeting his/her academic standards along with discussing his/her social/emotional well-being. As a Catholic school, we recognize your role as parents to be the primary educators of your child(ren). It is our pleasure to walk with you along your family's journey.
As we enter the holiday season, it is a special time to thank our God for the many blessings that we have been given. I know that each week, we ask for everyone to participate in the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry collection. We certainly thank you for your generosity. We are hoping that each of you will also be able to participate in giving food items for the Thanksgiving Meal Baskets and also for providing the needed items for Livermore Homeless Refuge. We thank you for your continued support of helping your child(ren) to be a Follower of Jesus as we serve the needs of people in our own community of Livermore.
You may have noticed some parents and staff members wearing St. Michael polos and a pullover jacket. We hope that you will join us in showing your school spirit by purchasing an item or two of St. Michael adult spirit wear. Order forms are available in the office. Christmas is going to be here before you know it, perhaps you'd like to consider purchasing a polo or pullover jacket for a faculty or staff member. We thank Bancroft for their generosity as they are giving the school a donation for each item purchased.
with a heart filled with Gratitude,
Alison
Our next stop on our Disneyland vacation is Critter Country, where every day is a “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” kind of day. Critter Country is a restful world filled with shady trees, babbling brooks and all kinds of playful animals, from the honey-loving bear that is stuffed with fluff to a hodgepodge of creatures from the briar.

NOVEMBER PTG MEETING
November’s PTG Meeting is Thursday, November 15th at 7pm in the STREAM Room. All parents are invited to attend. Contact Chris Bongfeldt at smsptg@smsliv.org for questions, comments, or agenda items.
Remember to complete a Volunteer Service Hours Verification form yet? All hours you volunteer must be documented. You can find these forms on a table right outside the school office in the entrance hall area. Each form has a white top copy and a yellow bottom copy. Once completed, turn in the white copy to the school office, attention Michelle or Judy. The yellow copy is a receipt for your files. Contact Vanessa Gallo at 925-963-7958 or vanessa@gallocommunications.com if you need ideas for what to volunteer for. Thank you.
WE STILL NEED HELP IN THESE AREAS:
___________________________________________________________________________________
Volunteers are needed soon to help with moving items from the convent across the street to the School—Date to be announced soon.
We will need several hands to help box and move items from the convent to the school so the Parish can proceed with their remodeling of the convent. We have décor stored (used for events and graduation dances) along with several photo albums and documents of the school throughout history that need to be moved. Dads welcomed especially. The job will require lifting and loading. Children must stay at home. This will be a great way to knock off volunteer hours. For interest, contact Vanessa Gallo at 925-963-7958 or vanessa@gallocommunications.com.
Volunteers are needed
to work our 2nd Annual Holiday Boutique Fair,
Friday, Nov. 30th in the Hall
We will need help in two ways for this event: through working hours and through refreshment donations.
Volunteer Shifts are for 2 hours each from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tasks include:
Parent Volunteer Update
Donors must submit a copy of their receipts to earn hours as trade (one volunteer hour per $20). A sign-up genius page for refreshment donations will be set-up. For interest, contact Parvaneh Irani at parvanehdastoor@yahoo.com.
Tabletop Luncheon—we are still in need of two parents to help coordinate our Tabletop Luncheon set for April 6th. Vanessa Gallo can assist and provide support. This is an event where volunteers sponsor tables and decorate them according to a theme of their choice and all the guests enjoy the same luncheon.
