Welcome to Middle School Math ! Math 6th, 7th and 8th are engaging California Common Core base courses that focus on teaching the necessary principles that are the foundation of Algebra and higher math courses that your child will encounter in high school and college. Focus will be placed not only on understanding concepts, but also on continually connecting ideas within the concepts to broaden students' ability to become critical thinking math learners. 

The students use Interactive Notebooks (INBs) to personalize their own record of content that is meaningful for developing their mathematics skills.  Please watch this video for more information:

A word about Google classroom:  the students need to use their Google smsliv.org accounts that they all created at the beginning of the year.  They can then go onto the Google Classroom site and add my classroom.  They will need a code.  Please e-mail me for your child's specific class code.
