Algebra I is a rigorous, high school level course that is designed to prepare the students for success in higher levels of math. Emphasis is placed on not only getting the answer to a problem, but explaining how that answer was reached.
Successful completion of this course with a 70% or higher (although 80% or higher is recommended) enables the student to move on to Geometry in the ninth grade.
All students who wish to enroll in this course must undergo an assessment process which consists of a placement test, classroom observation, and a review of standardized test scores.
