Volunteer Hours
Friendly reminder that each family needs to complete 20 service hours each school year. The office will be updating their records and sending home each family's status next week with the report cards, so please turn in your completed service hours form to the office this week. There are still opportunities to obtain service hours, such as working on the Wine Gala & Auction team, helping with the Book Fair, or coordinating the Father-Daughter Dance. Make sure to check out the Sign Up Genius site and sign up to secure hours and help out our community. Thank you to everyone for being a role model to our children and helping our St. Michael School students.
Sign your child up to ride the
SMS Christmas Parade Float.

Next Parade Meeting will be Monday, Dec. 2nd at 6:30 PM. Our theme this year is "Let Your Light Shine". The overall color scheme will be white and blue lights. The sideboards will feature twinkling lights illuminating each SMS student's handprint with their name. Some additional items we're in need of are 150 feet of Silver Garland and 50 Battery powered tea lights. If you have signed up to help on the signup Genius please get in contact with CasSandra at 925-980-4471 or attend our next meeting.
A Silent Auction Lead is needed
Big Picture: The auction chairs send out letters for donations and there is no need to go out and get items. The donations come to the office and they get stored in room 16 (across from the 8th-grade class). About 4 weeks out from the event, the silent auction lead starts organizing items and is the person who makes sure all items get set up on the day of the event (Feb. 29, Saturday, at the community center on east ave.). That is essentially the role.
Here’s what it would entail:
This task is enjoyable because it’s fun to come up with titles for baskets, think of ways to make the baskets look nice and the job can be done on one’s own time (in the evenings or weekends when it works for the volunteer).
