Why I Teach at St. Michael School I chose to work at Saint Michael because Christ is at the heart of all the work we do here both in the classroom and in our community. I love the small class sizes and the close-knit community where everyone is so supportive of each other. I am also an alumna of St. Michael School and so honored to return to teach the next generation.
My Philosophy of Teaching My class philosophy is that all students have the ability to reach their full potential with support. I strive for students to learn with an open mind, develop a positive attitude, and create high expectations for themselves. I work to create a safe environment for all students where they feel comfortable to ask any question and explore material to seek out answers in innovative ways.
My Background I graduated Sonoma State University with my BA in Physics and then proceeded to complete my Masters of Education at University of San Francisco. I have my preliminary credential and am in the process of clearing it. I have been working at St. Michael School since 2019 as a classroom TK and in 2020 began my journey as a Middle School Science Teacher. I have been teaching Fifth Grade homeroom and 5th- 8th Grade Science since then and absolutely love it.
My Life Outside St. Michael In my free time, I love to travel, specifically to Monterey and Maine where half of my family lives. I am very fortunate to be able to travel to Maine every summer where I am can read, relax, and recharge from a busy school year. I also love to spend my time outside of school with family, friends, and my two little puppies, Maverick and Brady, our double Tom's.
